Mobile Phones with PhoneCodes™
Veritec has several patents pending using the mobile phone technology for various banking transactions with our VeriCode®. Veritec developed software to send, store, display, and read a VeriCode® on the LCD screen of a mobile phone. With the electronic media that provide the ease of transferring information over the web, Veritec technology with the VeriCode® symbol and with the cell phone, the recipient can send or receive notification of a gift, a coupon, or a ticket, toggling a magnetic stripe of a credit or debit card on and off.
The uses for this technology are many.
The VeriCode® can also be a "cardless" "electronic storage media" that provides instant information without having to carry any cards, such as credit cards, bank accounts, drivers license, medical information, personal ID and more.
Many cell phones now have built in fingerprint scanners, with this type of phone or using a PIN number, only the owner can have access to the information inside the mobile phone. The VeriCode® provides a quick and secure way to handle daily transactions in a privacy and fraud-proof manner.
Veritec VeriCode®are available as a GiftCode™ that allows the person to buy or send a gift, a CouponCode™ that allows the person to send or receive a coupon, and a TicketCode™ that allows the person to buy or send a ticket to games or events.
Gift-Code™
The Veritec PhoneCode™ gift card product or GiftCode™, makes gifting a breeze. Designed for the busy shopper who demands convenience yet wants to add that personal touch. This customer friendly sales tool lets the customer select the gift card design, personalize it with a short message, and attach the appropriate musical jingle. Shoppers can purchase the GiftCode™ at the store, their retailer's on-line website or by phone, and it is instantaneously sent to the recipients wireless phone or PDA device. The GiftCode™ adds a new dimension to shopping, making it the perfect gift. It makes both the shopping and the giving a rewarding experience, by providing a higher level of personalized giving to the customer. When the recipient goes to redeem the gift for purchases, the wireless GiftCode™ is scanned from the phone by a point-of-sale (POS) terminal and the GiftCode™ is matched against the issuance skew and cancelled-out completing the transaction.
CouponCode™
Veritec's PhoneCode™ coupon or CouponCode™ is the perfect means for increasing sales revenue through personalized targeted marketing campaigns. Using customer membership lists, retailers can put personalized promotional coupons into the customers' hands within seconds of initiating a new marketing campaign. The CouponCode™ can be tailored with company graphics, text messages, and musical jingles for seasonal or special occasions and sent directly to the customer's wireless phone, providing a highly effective inexpensive marketing and sales tool. The customer redeems the coupon by passing their phone-screen displaying the CouponCode™ past the point-of-sale terminal, crediting the coupon value against the purchase. Using this high-tech coupon provides the retailers the ability to track the demographics and purchasing habits of the customer for measuring overall effectiveness of the campaign. The retailer realizes significant savings over the more traditional coupons costs related to printing, distribution, redemption and processing fees.
TicketCode™
The PhoneCode™ ticket, appropriately named TicketCode™, offers the utmost flexibility for convenience in purchasing and obtaining event tickets. Similar to e-tickets, Veritec's TicketCode™ product provides for remote purchase of venue tickets by phone or from an on-line website and instantly delivers them to your wireless phone or PDA device within seconds. This new revolutionary method to purchase and obtain event tickets eliminates waiting in long lines or the need to print and carry tickets to events.
